Service overview

The right inputs for each opening.

Florida Engineering accepts window pressure requests through a dedicated order form. Clear building information and a coordinated window schedule help establish the calculation scope and reduce missing information at the start.

01

Building geometry

Roof shape, slope, mean roof height and building dimensions provide the building context.

02

Site conditions

Project location, exposure and enclosure information inform the wind-pressure analysis.

03

Opening schedule

Window sizes, locations and elevations connect the results to the openings being reviewed.

A required design pressure is only part of selecting a window. Product approval, impact requirements, permitted sizes and installation details must also be checked for the project.
Before you start

  3. 3

    Use the project calculations

Coordinate the pressure requirements with the selected products and permit documents.

Common questions

A few details before you begin.

Can I send drawings instead of typing every opening?

The FE request form asks for a CAD drawing or a manually completed window schedule. Include enough information to locate and size each opening.

Is wind pressure the same as impact resistance?

No. Design pressure concerns wind loading. Impact resistance addresses debris impact performance and is a separate product requirement where applicable.

Will every window have the same pressure?

Not necessarily. Opening size and location, building geometry and site conditions can affect the required pressures.

Start with your window schedule.

Share the project location and available documents so we can confirm the scope and next steps.
