Service overview

A clear plan for the property.

A site plan shows where proposed improvements sit in relation to the property and existing features. Florida Engineering reviews the residential project scope and available site information to identify the engineering support needed for your submission.

01

Property context

Start with a current survey, property boundaries and the location of existing improvements.

02

Proposed improvements

Show the planned building footprint and related site features so the project can be reviewed together.

03

Permit coordination

Share agency checklists and review comments to help define the drawings and supporting information needed.

Site planning and drainage work are related, but they are separate scopes. If your project needs grading, drainage or stormwater calculations, discuss those requirements with our team at the start.

Common questions

A few details before you begin.

Is a site plan the same as a survey?

No. A survey establishes property information used as an input. A proposed site plan communicates the planned improvements in that context.

Does this include stormwater calculations?

Drainage and stormwater work should be identified separately when the scope is established. See our residential stormwater service for more information.

Can I start with permit comments?

Yes. Share the complete comments, the submitted drawings and available survey so the team can review what the agency is requesting.

Discuss your residential site plan

Share the project location and available documents so we can confirm the scope and next steps.
